My love for painting is a never ending saga & a permanent reconfiguration. In the Freestyle works I've involved more than acrylics on canvas. The works reflect my need to experiment with surfaces and materials. The streches are made by myself and the painted surface is not always canvas, but poliuretan or metal. In one of the works, I've used a chair pillow which I've glued directly onto the base, and then painted over. In another case, in Fides, I wanted a different shape of canvas so I did this rectangle. Only after making these shapes, I've started to put together the composition. Usually, the composition is a result of accident, fate & experiment. Not even once do I configure the image before I begin working on it. So, the ending image is a kind of surprise for me.

In this series in particular, I used to listen to music, while I was painting & so, some of the texts included in the paintings, reflect lyrics or artist name. It gets you right there in the middle of a song, or memory, or maybe into a transcendental state of mind.

I wanted to use strong colors, with powerful character, and so, I've just poured color out of the paint cans. Art should be like life: dynamic, diverse, colored, with strong personality.

These works reflect my love for painting as a manifestation of action and movement.
